Cultural Park of Aluminé.

2010

National Competition of Ideas for the Development of Public Space and Preliminary Design of the Cultural Park of Aluminé, Neuquén.

Organized by: Colegio de Arquitectos de la Provincia de Neuquén.

Promoter: Ministerio de Desarrollo Territorial de la Provincia de Neuquén.

Location: Aluminé. Neuquén, Argentina.

From the point of view of the project, the challenge is to manage the large area of the park, based on the strategy of thinking the whole project as a single space that integrates all the sections, making up a large area.

However, doing this would not be suitable for the town’s size and landscape characteristics. Thus, we opted for considering the diversity of the parts, seeking for strategies that allow designing the integration of small areas with larger ones, respecting the autonomy of its components and the identity of pre-existing areas, without losing sight of the whole picture.

The challenge is to address the project bearing in mind that the landscape is the most important aspect to be considered for the development of the park.

Project Team: Luis Federico Risso, Maria Elena Risso.
